Welcome to Retroera, a server done by old-tibia enthusiasts and fans of old servers on the open tibia scene. Step back into 2005 with a meticulously crafted 7.4 retro server designed to replicate the golden era of Tibia. Built on a TFS downgraded edition, we’ve fine-tuned mechanics like spell formulas, monster behavior, and loot tables to mirror the classic experience. No overpowered donations, no custom items—just pure, unaltered nostalgia.

We've been inspired by servers such as Miracle, SoeRPG (where comes our website "inspiration") and many others to bring a middle ground between all of the custom features of all of those servers, and of course, to bring out the best experience when it comes to have fun. We've been captivated by their essence and gameplay during the last 2 years and we wanted to replicate that back, Retroera is a server built by Tibia and OpenTibia fans.

What we offer that's different to all of the servers out there?

We have a 7.60 Base with the option to switch graphics between 7.72 and 7.4, having the 7.4 game-play:
  •    Accurate 7.4 Formulas (Original spell damage, mana regeneration, and stamina system).
    •    Classic combat exhaustion.
  •    No hotkeys for objects.
  •    Tile saving (your loot bags will be safe with us).
  •    No possible to items on players on the battle-list
  •    No runes from NPC's
  •    No level requirements to learn spells and using items.
  •    Classic spawns & Overspawn.
  •    Improved monsters behavior, they have stimulus and make combos.
  •    All players on a stack get damaged by spells/runes.
  •    Possible to make UH traps.
  •    Parcels elevation blocks.
  •    Possible to rope monsters, unpassable objects and stack them.
  •    Actions being executed before will not be cancelled (trick rope bag).
  •    Smart swap two-handed weapons.
  •    Bless do not protect items.
  •    Bedmakers regeneration.
  •    Each city have your own unique depot (like old days).
  •    Spears move to the ground and not break.
  •    No loot messages.
  •    Boats can be used by free accounts to the free areas of the map (Mainland), and the "premium" areas will remain premium only.
  •    Spells doesn't need to be learned.
  •    We have the 7.4 original loot values, but we have modified few things in-game to balance them out.

Custom Systems:

One of the most "critical" parts of each server, what makes it different from the others, we've taken inspiration from Miracle to build the following modules, which are not intended to break the "nostalgic" feeling, but rather to add QoL features to make the gameplay way more dinamic and funnier:

  • NPC trade system.
  • Task system (By difficulties, starting by "easy" and finishing with hard tasks) with his task tracker.
  • Guild Management (in-game).
  • Smart move stackavble items.
  • Highscores ingame. *
  • Backpacks and windows autosave on relog. *
  • Crafting (You will be able to craft equipment's and to destroy them using item parts, looted by monsters). *
  • An attributes system (with basic statistics and non overpowered attributes as miracle). *
  • Game analyzers, or so called, exp and loot statistics. *
  • Bestiary, charms, and bestiary tracker. *
  • Relic Box System. *

* are systems that aren't yet implemented on the beta but they will be added on/before the final release.

Our Game Balancing

As Miracle, we want to join the trend of trying Ankrahmun on our game version. And yes, we know that Ankrahmun may be unbalanced for some players due tot he amount of experience and profits that are being taken on this city. So, to balance this aspect, we will also add world changes which will make the tombs available only on a world change, making them "a raid available" feature, being executed only once a day. That means that only one tomb will be available on the map on each server save.
Besides that,
we will have also custom respawns and areas, that are completely balanced and are intended to not break experience and loot earned, following our next point.

Community-Driven:

We want to offer the best experience regarding being an old tibia server, so after 2 months of our release, our updates will be community driven and written under our own lore to keep the "nostalgic" spirit, that means that you will have a voice inside our server and you will help us to decide which spawns should be added/balanced or even built into the server. If you have a suggestion, it will be taken into consideration to be discussed with our internal team.

Technical Stability:

We have learned from the mistakes of other OT Hosters and we have built tools to avoid DDoS, as we have hired the cloudflare premium plans to run a full protection for our users, and not only that, we're running backups each 3 hours to save all of the data of our players to the long term.

Anti-Cheat & Fair Play:

We have tools to detect cheaters (which we aren't getting into a lot of details with it). But basically we will be actively monitoring every strange behaviour of the players. Besides that, we will only allow 2 mcs per account to the long term.



We plan to release our server the next Friday 18th, but also, we're running a tournament to award the highest player of the server with 30$ on PayPal. So don't miss the chance to try us out and to share with us what we have to the future.
